Twilight & Tea is a 13 month Online Social Media Experiment. From December 2009 until December 2010 I will be spending 3 weeks of every month staying at a Bed & Breakfast. For the first 7 months, I will be visiting 7 B&B’s across Texas – but starting in July of next year I’ll be staying at 6 B&B’s across the United States.
During my stay at each B&B, I will be updating their web presence and moving them to a Content Management System (so that the B&B owner’s can easily update their website for years to come). Additionally I’ll be providing each B&B with a Social Media Starter Package (includes Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, UpTake and other social networks targeted at travelers). The entire 13 month journey will be documented on TwilightandTea.com as well as associated Travel Social Networks.
I will spend time getting to know the owners of each B&B and finding the best way to tell their story online via Video, Photos, and Blog Entries. I will also spend time exploring the city and surrounding areas to entice visitors to stay at the B&B. Think of it like a giant Social Experiment or rather Social Media Experiment!
